Welcome to Career HQ, operated by Smashrock Media Inc. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions
Career HQ: Refers to the platform operated by Smashrock Media Inc., offering job-seeking tools, including resume optimization and ATS-friendly resume generation.
Credits: Units you receive based on your subscription plan to access specific features on the platform.
User: Any person or entity accessing the services provided by Career HQ.
2. Usage-Based Pricing
Career HQ operates on a usage-based pricing model, where each plan provides a set number of credits for a specified billing period (monthly, quarterly, or yearly, as applicable).
Once your available credits are used, you will not be able to purchase additional credits. You must wait until your credits are automatically renewed at the start of the next billing cycle.
3. Purchases and Subscriptions
Payments for subscription plans are processed through a third-party payment provider. By completing a purchase, you agree to the pricing and billing structure outlined on our platform.
Credits are not transferable between months. Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle.
You can change your subscription plan at any time. However, any changes to your plan (including upgrades or downgrades) will only take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
No refunds will be provided for used credits, partial usage, or changes to your plan during the current billing cycle.
If you received a free trial, you understand and accept that after the trial period ends, you will be automatically enrolled in an auto-renewal subscription. You can cancel at any time through the portal, but any changes will be reflected on the next billing cycle.
4. Termination of Service
Career HQ reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including but not limited to breaches of these terms.
You may cancel your subscription at any time, but the cancellation will be effective at the start of the next billing period. No refunds will be issued for any remaining time in the current billing cycle or for unused credits.
Career HQ reserves the right to terminate services for any misuse, fraudulent activity, or breach of these terms.
5. Misuse of the Platform
Users agree not to misuse the platform. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Sharing login credentials with others.
- Attempting to reverse-engineer or manipulate the platform.
- Engaging in activities that compromise the platform integrity or security.
- Using automated bots, scripts, or other tools to access services in an unauthorized manner.
- Generating data or content that the platform is not designed or intended to generate.
6. Data Privacy & Security
We take your data privacy seriously and store your information securely. However, Career HQ and Smashrock Media Inc. cannot be held liable for any unauthorized access, data breaches, or other security challenges beyond our control.
You acknowledge that no system is entirely secure and accept the risks associated with storing and transmitting data online.
7. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted through your account.
Career HQ will not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account.
8. No Warranty on Employment
Career HQ provides tools and algorithms designed to assist in the job application process. However, we make no guarantees or promises that using the platform will result in employment, interviews, or specific job outcomes.
While we make our best effort to optimize your job search with our algorithm, you agree that Career HQ is not responsible for any job opportunities, offers, or outcomes you may or may not receive as a result of using the platform.
9. Acting on Your Own Behalf
By using Career HQ, you agree to act on your own behalf and not on behalf of others. You also agree not to use the platform to generate false or misleading data or content, nor to use it for any purpose other than that which it is intended for.
10. No Warranty
The platform is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Career HQ does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free services and makes no warranties regarding the results or accuracy of its services.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Career HQ and Smashrock Media Inc. shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the platform.
Career HQ is not responsible for any loss of data or the consequences of unauthorized access or data breaches.
12. Refund Policy
Career HQ operates a strict no-refund policy. Once credits are used, no refunds will be provided under any circumstances.
If you cancel your subscription or change your plan, any remaining credits will expire at the end of the current billing cycle, and no refunds will be issued for unused credits.
13. Plan Changes
Any changes you make to your subscription plan, including upgrades or downgrades, will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.
You cannot purchase additional credits mid-cycle; you must wait until your credits are automatically renewed at the beginning of the following billing period.
14. Service Availability
We strive to maintain reliable access to the platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted or fault-free service.
Career HQ reserves the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time without prior notice.
15. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Ontario courts.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Career HQ and Smashrock Media Inc. from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from your use of the platform, violation of these terms, or any third-party rights.
17. Amendments
Career HQ reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated to users, and continued use of the platform implies acceptance of the updated terms.
